Workshop Technician Manager

Apollo Technology are looking for a full time permanent workshop computer technician. Working in our new bespoke workshop in Radstock, near Bath. Carrying out repairs on PC's, laptop's, tablets and phones.

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience within a company that is growing and expanding locally.

We have recently moved into brand new bigger premises and are looking for more staff to enable us to grow successfully.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge to enable them to look after the day-to-day management of hardware and software. This includes providing great customers service and advice, assisting them with hardware and software problems in person, via phone or email.

We also want somebody who is willing to be flexible and helpful, who will fit into our team and grow with us. You must be able to work alone and also as part of the team.

General Skills & Experience

- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar IT function; ideally in a commercial environment but also considerations will be made for academic experience

- Strong customer care and client facing skills

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Excellent telephone manner

- Ability to manage workload and be very organised

- Proven problem-solving skills

- Must have desire and ability to develop new skills on the job

- Strong team focus and ability to work with and without direct supervision

Technical Skills

- Laptop Screen Repairs

- Mobile Devise Repairs (Screens)

- Soldering Skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 to 10

- Office 2013 to 2019 - Google Workspace

- Building/repurposing/configuring desktop and laptop computers

- PC Hardware troubleshooting and optimisation

- Knowledge of the Windows Deployment Services would be desirable but not essential
